    It's been a while

Well things have been rather busy lately, I finished my pharmocology course and am moving onto a math and meds course, work is INSANE (I'll get back to that in a minute) and when I am not working I am trying to finally unpack the stuff that has been sitting in our condo since we moved in over a year and a half ago. Today I also spent 3 hours on the phone and internet with several different companies trying to figure out and negotiate tv, phone, and internet services. I also spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with our condo association finding out what would need to happen if we wanted to get satellite tv. I think it's time to move... it's time for an upgrade from owning one's condo to owning one's house with out an association making you seek stupid approvals and deposits for a piece of property that supposedly you own...gah... Saturday I worked a princess shift (4 hours) at the hospital to fulfill my one weekend shift a month obligation, and it felt like 12, you would think that 3-7pm on the orthopedics floor would be nice, but with a diabetic who would not eat who got insulin, several old ladies with hip or knee replacements on lasix, a woman who thought she was having a heart attack (almost had to show my super awesome EKG skills {insert schoff}) and an alcoholic going through dts (why he's on the otheropedic floor I do not know), oh and a replacement who did come not find me 20 minutes after her shift started and mine ended made for me leaving an hour late. So back to the dts pt...I was in the other room taking my Q4 vitals when all of a sudden I hear one nurse yell for another nurse, then I hear my nurse yell for me, and I hear this man yelling. Turns out he had gotten out of bed and was unsteady demanded on trying to leave and was trying to put on his urine soaked clothes...EW...he also was reaching for something on his bed side table... well we moved the bed side table helped him back into bed got him cleaned up and then I discovered what he was reaching for...A FREAKIN HUGE POCKET KNIFE!!!!!! (does security not check their belongings, especially since this guy came in drunk to the ER) No one else spotted it, I was the one who found it... GREAT JUST GREAT! Why is it I always get the armed belligerent patients?! hmm?! Anyways I made it out of work with out getting shanked so I guess you could call it a good day...
